A foreigner who has received a residence card and has decided to change his employer may file an application to change the decision of the voivode. Within 60 days, the administrative body must change the document, while the plastic card itself will remain the same.
In case of a change of employer, a foreigner is not required to appear in person at the voivodeship office and give fingerprints. The proposed payment of the state fee for changing the decision on residence and work is 220 PLN.
Correspondence with the voivodeship office will be conducted electronically as a priority. This will reduce the costs of postal delivery of documents and decisions.
The new amendments abolish the requirement for a foreigner to have housing in Poland, as well as the need to prove a stable and regular income. Instead, an applicant for a residence card must earn at least the minimum wage at the time of submitting documents.
